The BLOOD Has a Voice
The BLOOD Has a Voice
Hebrews 12:24 (TPT)
we have come to Jesus who established a new covenant with his blood sprinkled upon the mercy seat;
blood that continues to speak from heaven, “forgiveness,”
a better message than Abel’s blood that cries from the earth, “justice.”
We look to the BLOOD to remember and honor what Jesus did on our behalf at the Cross. But we can do even more; we can “listen” because the Word tells us that BLOOD of Jesus also has a voice. And it has much to say. The BLOOD speaks of everything that was accomplished at the Cross. It goes far beyond just the forgiving of sin, though that alone would be more than enough. The Greek word for salvation is “sozo” and it includes not only eternal redemption, but also everything we will ever need on this side of heaven – healing, prosperity, deliverance, and restoration, and more. What does the BLOOD have to say?
The BLOOD gives voice to healing: Isaiah 53:5 (AMPC)
5 But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our guilt and iniquities; the chastisement [needful to obtain] and well-being for us was upon Him, and with the stripes [that wounded] Him we are healed and made whole. Eternal redemption and healing have the same origin – The BLOOD!
The BLOOD gives voice to prosperity: Psalm 35:27 (NKJV)
27 Let them shout for joy and be glad, Who favor my righteous cause; And let them say continually, “Let the Lord be magnified, Who has pleasure in the prosperity of His servant.” Our material prosperity gives pleasure to our Heavenly Father!
The BLOOD gives voice to deliverance: Psalm 34:19 (NASB95)
19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous, But the Lord delivers him out of them all. Safety in troubled times is part of the salvation package.
The BLOOD gives voice to restoration: Zechariah 9:11-13(MSG)
11-13 “And you, because of my blood covenant with you, I’ll release your prisoners from their hopeless cells. Come home, hope-filled prisoners! This very day I’m declaring a double bonus—everything you lost returned twice-over! If we will give Jesus the area of our lives we feel we’ve lost, He will bring a resurrection into our situation!
Notice that each scripture is a promise from the Old Testament. According to Hebrews 8:6 (KJV): 6 But now hath he {Jesus} obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises. We are partakers of the “much more” covenant.
We “look” to the BLOOD to see ourselves covered head-to-toe, sins forever forgiven. We “listen” to the voice of the BLOOD to receive all the promises of the New Covenant. The Message Bible sums up the voice of the BLOOD in this way in Hebrews 12:24:
charter from God. He is the Mediator of this covenant. The murder
of Jesus, unlike Abel’s—a homicide that cried out for vengeance—
became a proclamation of grace.
GRACE is the voice of the BLOOD. It is God’s favor (His supply) for every situation we will ever face!! ![]()
