Confessions: Speak the Word, Change Your World
Confessions: Speak the Word, Change Your World
Words are power containers. You need go no further than Genesis, Ch. 1, to see that. God spoke and things happened. We are created in His image, so we, too, are to use words to change things. The best words we can use are God’s own words.
Standing on God’s Word for Your Children
Because when I speak God’s Word in faith I can have what I say, I confess that (Mark 11:23):
My children seek first God’s Kingdom and His Righteousness and receive good things from Him. (Matthew 6:33)
They are disciples taught of the Lord and great is their peace. Because they have been trained in the way they should go, they do not depart from it. When they lack wisdom they ask of God and He gives it to them liberally. (Isaiah 54:13, Deut. 6:6-8, Proverbs 22:6, James 1:5)
Because they observe and do all God’s Word they are prosperous, they deal wisely and have good success, walking in divine health. (Joshua 1:8, Proverbs 4:20-22)
My children obey me in the Lord (as His representative) for this is just and right. They honor, esteem and value me as precious. All is well with them and they will live long on the earth (if Jesus tarries). I do not irritate and provoke them, do not exasperate them to resentment, but rear them tenderly in the training, discipline, counsel, and the admonition of the Lord. Because I correct my children, they give me rest; they give delight to my heart. (Ephesians 6:1-4, Proverbs 29:17)
They bring their tithes and offerings into the storehouse (the House of God) and live under an open heaven. God supplies all their needs. The Lord is their Shepherd and they do not lack for any good thing. (Malachi 3:10, Philippians 4:19, Psalm 23:1)
My children abound in love one to another. The Fruit of the Spirit – love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control shine forth. They do all things without grumbling, faultfinding, complaining and questioning. They shun youthful lusts and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace. (I Thessalonians 3:12, Galatians 5:22-23, Philippians 2:14, II Timothy 2:22)
For children saved, but not living for God, confess:
I do not weep…for my children will come back from the land of the enemy. Lord, you said there is hope in my future that my children will come back to their own borders. I believe you will perfect that which concerns me.(Jeremiah 31:16,17, Psalm 138:8)
Lord, your thoughts of my children number more than the sand. Your plans are to give them a future and a hope. I believe it will be unto my children according to your Word.
(Psalm 139:17-18, Jeremiah 29:11)
