Living in God’s “All”

Living in God’s “All”

2 Timothy 3:16-17 (CJB)
16 All Scripture is God-breathed and is valuable for teaching the truth, convicting of sin, correcting faults and training in right living; 17 thus anyone who belongs to God may be fully equipped for every good work.

It’s interesting that God uses the word “all” frequently in connection with the promises found in His Word. He could have used another word. God could have said, “most times, sometimes, almost always, and the list goes on. The above-scripture reminds us that all scripture is God-breathed; therefore, the many “alls” that we find with the promises of God are there at His direction. According to Strong’s Concordance, in the Old Testament, the most frequently used word for “all” meant “the whole, any and every and, as many as.” In short, “all” means all!

Let’s take a look at just a few scriptures and see how important that three-lettered word can be in our lives:

  • 2nd Timothy 3:16-17 (CJB) {see above}
    All scripture is God-breathed… When you find a promise in scripture remember He was the One who put it there, and, it belongs to anyone who is willing to receive it. Don’t buy the lie of the enemy that somehow God meant something other than what He said. All means all!
  • Psalm 103:3(NLT)
    3 He forgives all my sins and heals all my diseases. As believers, all of our sins are forgiven – past, present and future. Don’t believe the lie of the enemy that any sin stands between you and God. All means all! Ditto when it comes to healing our diseases. There is no disease (past, present or future) that was not borne by Jesus at the whipping post prior to His crucifixion. All means all!
  • Psalm 91:11 (NKJV)
    11 For He shall give His angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways. Protection is a covenant promise. Of course, there will be trials and challenges throughout our lives. Psalm 34:19 (NKJV) confirms it: “19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous, But the LORD delivers him out of them all.” All means all!
  • Philippians 4:19 (NKJV)
    19 And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Whole life prosperity – spirit, soul, body, economic and social – belongs to every area of a believer’s life. Jesus came that we might have abundant life – filled to overflowing (AMP). All means all!

How do we enter into God’s “all”? It comes as we get a revelation of the true nature of our Heavenly Father. He is Love, He is Mercy, He is Grace. When we are so convinced of His Goodness that even when something happens contrary to His Goodness, we don’t blink and for a moment think God somehow failed us. As our spiritual eyes are enlightened to His Goodness, we will begin receiving the manifestations of His nature. At that point, we will begin living in God’s “all”! Anchor Tombstone 16px
